Most collectors have one thing in common: a passion for what brings them joy.
Gayle and Terry Krentz have turned their love of Harley Davidson into not only a joy but a lifestyle.
The Krentz’s home is a self-proclaimed museum of all things Harley. Anywhere and everywhere you look throughout the house is decorated and displayed in the style and colors of Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
The living room curtains and furniture are all Harley designs, with the orange and black floor rugs accenting the colors of the living space.
The kitchen also portrays the Krentz’s passion for Harley memorabilia with fire logo bar stools, plates, dishes, cups, glasses, a clock, a trash receptacle, cookie jars, and more are on display.

Each bedroom is a Harley-lover’s paradise, with curtains, bedspreads, and Harley memorabilia. From the bathroom towels to the light switch covers and the drawer pulls, everything is decorated with the black and orange Harley design.
The HD patterns of pictures on the walls and the Harley-adorned shelves in each room show a love for Harley Davidson.
Each piece has a story and an origin, and the Krentz’s remember each one, a true sign of their passion and love for their collection.
Terry Krentz began the memorabilia collection 30 years ago when he purchased his first Harley Davidson motorcycle, his wife followed suit two years later.
“It happened organically, we didn’t set out to collect everything under the sun that Harley has,” Gale Krentz said. “It’s just birthdays, anniversaries, every time you go to a dealership, you pick up something. You see something you’ve never seen before. Our friends have been very generous giving us things and finding things for us. It’s the same as anyone who collects NASCAR or sports memorabilia — it’s not any different.”

The numerous curio cabinets hold hundreds of collectibles of all shapes and sizes. Some things the average person may have seen before, many they probably have not.
“If it’s Harley, we probably have it,” Gayle Krentz said.
Ken and Barbie dolls clad in Harley Davidson attire that they received as a wedding gift match the leather jacket that Gayle Krentz wore at her wedding ceremony with her Harley-design wedding necklace and earrings.
As with most collectors, there is a special fondness for an individual item, the Krentz’s are no different. Terry Krentz’s favorite and most unique piece is a floor lamp designed with adjustable Harley headlights, while Gayle’s favorite is a giant Harley coffee mug.
However, they both agree that perhaps their rarest find is a Harley Davidson fishing lure.

The thousands of collectibles both big and small are an eclectic mixture of miniature motorcycles, leather vests and jackets, beer steins, games, pins, and knick-knacks just to name a few. Everything imaginable. Everything Harley Davidson.
Their garage houses their Harley Davidson motorcycles, because not only do they enjoy collecting together, but they also love to ride the open road on their Harleys every chance they get.
Gayle Krentz’s Harley Davidson Nightster and her husband’s “Cadillac of Harleys” Electric Glide classic are the two they enjoy riding most often. They are lifetime members of the Harley Owners Group.
When asked why they love Harley Davidson, Terry Krentz replied, “It’s a lifestyle, it’s freedom, it’s patriotism, it’s a brotherhood. All riders are family.”
