Due to continued power outages in some areas and the local emergency, City of Alpena offices will remain closed through the remainder of the week and will plan to reopen to the public on Monday, the city announced on Wednesday. Although the building will remain closed to the public, a limited number of staff will be working at City Hall to maintain services and answer calls as needed. Please be patient as some departments will not yet be fully staffed.

All essential services including public works, police, fire, and EMS are available as normal.
