Over 85% of PIE&G customers have power as of Sunday
Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-Op crews continue making significant progress in restoring power to northern Michigan following the devastating ice storm that caused unprecedented damage across the region, the power company said in a Sunday press release.
As of Sunday, over 85% of PIE&G members now have power, with 29,661 members restored so far.
Crews have replaced more than 1,400 broken poles.
The co-op has coordinated 788 vehicles and equipment and has managed 409 crews and 1,430 personnel in the field to restore power.
PIE&G remains on track with its original timeline for restoration, with exceptions in areas where individual service lines sustained damage and the Lewiston area.
