The Hillman Tigers softball team won its doubleheader against the Oscoda Owls on Monday night in Oscoda.

Aubrey Weiland took the win in game one with a score of 5-3.

Weiland had nine strikeouts in six innings of work.

Autumn Lis gave the Tigers a lead with a double in the top of the fifth inning, scoring two.

Rylee Lis, Madelyn Oswald, and Gretchen Weiland each had two hits for the Tigers.

In game two, Gretchen Weiland earned the victory, striking out 14 while only giving up five hits over six innings.

Aubrey Weiland got Hillman on the scoreboard with a two-run homerun — Hillman’s only runs for the game.

Brook Linseman also added a single for the Tigers.

ALCONA DEFEATS HALE

The Alcona softball team took two wins from Hale on Monday night.

Game one was 11-0, and game two was 8-0.
