ROBERT W. PROBST

Born June 21, 1935, to Adolph and Ella (Nemis) Probst in Detroit, Michigan, he was raised there. Bob served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. On Oct. 20, 1956, he married Lorraine Baginski in Detroit. They were residents of Dearborn Heights and Warren. Bob was an engineer with Chrysler Motors. He retired in 1991 to Hubbard Lake, where his greatest joy was taking his family and friends on boat rides around the lake. He was an active member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineke. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles, spending time with his friends and family, and traveling.

Bob is survived by two daughters, Teri (Tom) Gordon of Hale, Michigan, and Linda (Charles) Perry of Lincoln, Michigan, eight grandchildren, Crystal (Ryan) Bruza, Shannon Luft, Elizabeth Smiecinski, Kyle Gordon, Jessica Gordon, Chris (Shannon) Gordon, C.J. (Meghan) Perry and Alex (Mallory) Perry, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine on Dec. 9, 2017, and one sister.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineke. Rev. John William will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan, or the Cancer Center at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.
