DAVID FLOYD SCHUELKE

David Floyd Schuelke, 60, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at his home.

David was born July 16, 1963, in Alpena to Nina Marie Egelski and Donald Schuelke. He worked at The Alpena News in the mailroom. David enjoyed being outdoors, nature, mushroom hunting, Indian art, and spending time with family.

Surviving are his two daughters, Raven Belanger, Tamron Upton; three grandchildren; father, Donald (Barb Skowronek) Schuelke; mother, Nina Marie Hompstead; three siblings, Lisa Halvorson, Jeffrey (Bernadette) Schuelke, Hugh Hompstead; five stepsiblings, Randy (Judy) Hompstead, Rhonda Hompstead, Renae (Randy) Belanger-Dault, Robin (Irvin) Bredow, Roxane Hompstead; and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Paul Halvorson; and stepfather, Harvey Hompstead.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at noon with Pastor Warren Hoffmann officiating.
