ROBERT JOSEPH KUJAWA

Robert Joseph Kujawa, 96, of Alpena, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, at Besser Senior Living Community.

Robert was born April 9, 1928, in Alpena, to the late Mitchell and Angela (Modrynski) Kujawa. On Sept. 2, 1950, he married Margaret Gagnon. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2019. Robert served in the United States Army and worked at Besser Company for 30+ years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of All Saints Parish. Robert enjoyed photographing old Alpena buildings and numerous one-room schoolhouses, donating many to the library.

Surviving are his daughter, Kelly Kujawa, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Stolzenfeld, Richard Kujawa, and Dolores Misel.

Memorial visitation will take place Monday, July 8, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Military honors will be accorded him by Alpena VFW Post 2496. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
