BERNICE CHRISTINE KOWALSKI

Bernice Christine Kowalski, 101, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at her loving son’s home and caregiver of 13 years, Danny.

Bernice Christine Olson was born May 20, 1923, in Spruce, to the late Harry and Inez (Rasmussen) Olson. On March 31, 1943, she married Clarence Kowalski. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1982. She retired from AC Sparkplug after 32 years in 1981. Bernice later married Elmer Kowalski on April 27, 1991. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2008. Bernice was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Herron, Ossineke Eagles, and VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving are her daughter, Janet (Joe) Wolbert; two sons, Curtis (Christine) Kowalski, Danny Kowalski; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Elmer’s family.

Bernice was preceded in death by her brother, Boyden Olson.

Visitation will take place Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Herron from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating.

Interment: Pleasant View Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Make a Wish.
