JASON THOMAS McLAREN

Jason Thomas McLaren, 45, of Lachine, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Jason was born Aug. 4, 1979, in Lapeer, to Kim and Julie (Roberson) McLaren. He served in the United States Air Force until he was injured while serving. On March 18, 2003, he married Cristy Fugate. Jason was a member of Alpena VFW Post 2496 and enjoyed riding his Harley. He truly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Cristy; two children, Chelsy (fiance Jonathan Irvin) McLaren, Gage (Heather Minton) McLaren; two grandchildren, Adaline, Elijah; mother, Julie (Rich) Kamyszek; sister, Angie (Robert) Kania; two nieces, Chelsea (Mathew) Aube, Emily (Cameron Rubio) Chrzan; and the Fugate family.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Kim McLaren, and father-in-law, Hershel Fugate Jr.

Visitation will take place Tuesday at Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dean Muhle officiating. Military honors will be accorded him by Alpena VFW Post 2496.
