MARIAN CARRIE KAMYSZEK

Marian Carrie Kamyszek, 92, of Alpena, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at Medilodge – Alpena.

Marian Carrie Ciupka was born in Alpena County on Nov. 15, 1932, to the late Joseph and Sophia (Tarshinski) Ciupka. On Oct. 28, 1950, she married Norman Kamyszek. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1993. She was a member of All Saints Parish. Marian enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, crocheting, but most importantly she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Surviving are seven children, Pat (Dave) Kasubowski, Jeanette Johnson, Karen (John) Jones, Michael (Tammy) Kamyszek, Cindy (Thomas) Lucas, Jim (Kerrie) Kamyszek, Brian (Peggy) Kamyszek; daughter-in-law, Karen Kamyszek; 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Dolores Green, Rose Kamyszek, Robert (Darlene) Ciupka; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kamyszek was preceded in death by son, Dennis Kamyszek; son-in-law, Louie Johnson, grandson, Connor Kasubowski; siblings, Eugene Ciupka, Virginia Suszek; and special friend, Martin Anderson.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Aloysuis Okpala officiating.
