EVELYN JOAN FRYDLEWICZ

Evelyn Joan Frydlewicz, 88, of Alpena, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, in Fairhope, Alabama.

Evelyn Joan Welka was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Hamtramck, to the late Julian and Konstancya (Merydek) Welka. On Dec. 31, 1955, she married Stanley Frydlewicz. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2013. Evelyn was a member of Ridge Runners, All Saints Parish and sang in the choir. Provided care for her children and grandchildren. She worked in the clothing department at K-Mart and later upon opening Walmart as a people greeter, retired after 20 years in 2018. To be described by anyone she encountered as very pleasant, kind and always smiling. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, keeping up with weekly gossip in People magazine, maintaining perfect attendance to her hair and nail salon appointments.

Surviving are her two children, Kim Beaubien, Jeffrey (Michelle) Frydlewicz; six grandchildren, Matthew Beaubien, Michael (April Reddie) Beaubien, Marsha (Joshua) Parker, Mitchell Beaubien, Allison (Jason) Gilbert, Joy Eagle; two step-grandsons, Robert Armstrong, James Armstrong; nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Olivia, Brenton, Bristol, Brady, Sawyer, Kennedy, and Vivian; and nephew, William Ocholik.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Eagle and great-grandchildren, Brysen and Zoey.
