JUDITH MARY GALLAGHER

Judith Mary Gallagher, 77, of Alpena, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena surrounded by her loving family.

Judith Mary Charles was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Rosiere, Wisconsin, to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Monfils) Charles. On Jan. 27, 1979, she married Robert Gallagher. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2024. Judy was a member of All Saints Parish. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Judy always welcomed everyone in her home.

Surviving are her four children, Scott (Kristie) Gallagher, Michelle (John) Mainville, Kathleen (Tim) Davis, Jessica (Jim) McEwen; 10 grandchildren, Robert (Kendra), Tyler, Alex (Jess), Brooke (Tyler), Megan (Nick), Jennifer, Jacob, Kyle, Caleb, Camden; seven great-grandchildren, Jordon, Aiden, Aili, Lilianna, Addy, Isabel, Emma; and sister, Diane (Dennis) Opicka, sister in laws Janice, Elaine, Jill and Fran Charles.

Judy was preceded in death by siblings, Marvin Charles, Joyce Charles, Myron Charles, Karen and Butch Kazik, Donald Charles, and Lee Charles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Aug. 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish with a luncheon to follow. Arrangements by Bannan Funeral Home.
