MARY NAOMI WERTH

Mary Naomi Werth, 70, of Alpena, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024.

Mary Naomi Smalley was born Jan. 2, 1954, in Alpena, to the late Elmer and Martha (Craner) Smalley.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Jerry; son, Jerry (Lisa Wodkowski) Werth; daughter, Ra’Chelle (Matt) Hauff-Werth; grandchildren and great-grandchildren anxiously awaiting until they meet again; seven siblings; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by two siblings.

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.

“The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

“My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.” Author Unknown

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
