TERRY GEORGE LaCROSS

Terry George LaCross, 83, of Alpena, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at his home.
Terry was born Aug. 24, 1941, in Hawks, to the late Theodore and Genevieve (Kotwicki) LaCross. He served in the United States Army. On April 18, 1964, he married the love of his life, Carol Burns. Terry worked at Abitibi for 40 years, retiring in 2003. He was an active and very faithful member of All Saints Parish and Rosary Society. He led the rosary weekly for 25 years at St. Bernard Church. Terry enjoyed woodworking, doing cement work, but most importantly, spending time with his family, especially his seven grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Carol; three children, Curt (Amanda Conn) LaCross, Lisa (Andy) Zielaskowski, Brian (Heidi) LaCross; seven grandchildren, Mason Zielaskowski, Cierra (John) Haradean, Faith Zielaskowski, Annabelle LaCross, Sidney LaCross, Joseph LaCross, Nicklas LaCross. He also was survived by his eight siblings Shirley (Tom) Kendziorski, Margaret LaCross, Brother Larry LaCross, Bob (Sue) LaCross, Rick (Linda) LaCross, Patricia (Patrick) Skiba, Tom (Maryann) LaCross, Mary (Jeff) Moody; brother-in-law, James LeFave; and several nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine LeFave.
Visitation will take place Friday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary at 3 p.m., military honors accorded him at 5 p.m. by Alpena VFW Post 2496 and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
