ALLAN GEORGE NUECHTERLEIN

Allan George Nuechterlein passed away on Christmas Eve at the home of his stepdaughter, Beth Minor, in Camden, South Carolina. He was born on April 20, 1940 at the “new” Alpena General Hospital. His parents were the late Alwin and Lydia Nuechterlein. Also preceding him in death were his brother, Earl in 2019, and sister, Lois in 2011. Surviving him are his sister, Janet Winfield of Alpena, his children Guy (Tiffany) Nuechterlein of Kewaunee, Wisconsin, Jeffrey (Amanda) Nuechterlein of Greenville, Wisconsin, and Elizabeth Minor of Camden, South Carolina. Also left to mourn him are his nine grandchildren including Lydia and Emma Nuechterlein, Olivia, Chase, Ty, and Reid Nuechterlein, Bryce and Sadie Minor, and Lillian Bestul.

Allan graduated from Alpena High School in 1958 and later Northern Michigan University. He taught business classes at Marquette High School until his retirement. Hunting, fishing, and the Lions were his enjoyment.

Eventual plans will be scattering of ashes at Moss Lake in the Upper Peninsula in August.

The family was served by Powers Funeral Home of Camden, South Carolina.
