DEBORAH JEAN FOLEY

Deborah Jean Foley, 72, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2025. She was born on Nov. 2, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Charles and Dolores Plater.

Deborah had a passion for turning her house into a warm and welcoming home. She found joy in crafting beautiful floral arrangements, crafting, computer games and, in her younger years, loved her horses. Her creativity and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Deborah is survived by her three children: Dawn (Ray) Kowalski, Robert Worth, and Shannon Swiderski; four cherished grandchildren: Kelsey Worth, Trevor Worth, Brittany (Eric) Guinther, and Alex Swiderski; and her newly born great-grandson, Weston Guinther. She is also survived by her two sisters, Terry Kieran and Heather Plater, and two brothers, Rick (Gloria) Plater and Scott Plater.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Plater.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A service will be held in the spring.
