MAUREEN MARIE WOZNIAK

Maureen Marie Wozniak age 67 of Alpena, formerly Posen passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2024 with her immediate family at her side at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor following a brief illness.

Maureen, or as she was affectionately known by her friends and loved ones, “Mo”, was born in Rogers City to Robert and Ann (Jozwiak) Wozniak on May 28, 1957.

Following graduation from high school in 1975, Maureen became a licensed cosmetologist. She was also an avid music fan, frequently listening to and singing while working as a seamstress, designing and mending many articles of clothing. Maureen was also gifted with great artistic talent, leaving behind a vast collection of paintings and drawings in various mediums and subjects.

Maureen is survived by her son, Jeremiah (Joanna Moja) Wirgau of Metz; mother, Ann (Robert) Wozniak of Posen; sisters, Joleen Wozniak of Petoskey, Nadine (Alan) Pszczolkowski of Petoskey, and a brother, Bruce (Tina) Wozniak of Alpena.

Maureen was preceded in death by her father, Robert and a sister, Colleen. Arrangements are in care of the Beck Funeral Home of Rogers City.

A celebration of life will be held later this spring. Memorials can be made in Maureen’s memory to a charity of your choice.
