GEORGE PATRICK TURNER

George Patrick Turner, 83, Alpena passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

George was born on July 4, 1941, in Detroit, to the late Kyle and Kathryn (Fraser) Turner. On May 20, 1966, he married Georgia Maddox. She preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 2012. Together they retired to Alpena, and he later worked as a greeter at Meijer for the past 12 years.

Surviving are three children, Dawn (Michael) Felosak, Patrick (Marcy) Turner, Christine (David) Glusac; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Mary Agnes Rarick.

He was preceded in death by three siblings, David Turner, Peggy Burke and Richard Turner.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
