Walter Bob Reid Jr.

Bob was born in Merced, California on April 22, 1962, to the late Walter and Linda (Ledbetter) Reid.

Bob attended Mount Whitney High School in Visalia California where he was a straight A student and a member of the varsity football and tennis team. Bob attended DeVry Institute of Technology receiving a degree in aeronautical engineering. He went to work for Hughes International and later Raytheon Technologies. He was founder and executive director of Term Limits for U.S. Congress, PAC and a board member of Friends of Alpena County Animal Control. On July 15, 2013, he married Michelle Thatcher.

Surviving are his wife, Michelle; sister, LeAnn Murray; brother, Bryan (Mindy) Reid; nephews, Kyle and Bradyn; aunt, Marilyn (Bob) Nolan; cousins, Nick (Misty) Nolan, Brenda Nolan, Ernie (DeAnn) Reid, Doyle (Debbie) Reid; father and mother-in-law, James and Sherry Thatcher; sister-in-law, Dawn (Paul) Marwede; and nephew, Brady Marwede.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon with Rev. Thomas Orth officiating. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
