WILLIAM FREDERICK KINDT

William Frederick Kindt, 90, of Ossineke, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Fred was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Alpena to the late Herman and Helen (Domrose) Kindt. On July 19, 1980, he married Joanne Schiller. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Fred worked since he was 12 and in 1964 became a licensed electrician.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne; four children, Rickie (Esther) Kindt, Tamyra (Gary) DeCaire, Dennis (Annette) Kindt, Allan (Mary Beth) Kindt; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Herb (Jan) Schiller, Julie King, Laurie (Wayne) Aube; and their families.

Fred was preceded in death by his son, Larry Kindt; five siblings, Ione Monroe, Herman Kindt, Inez Owens, Arlene Lay, and Herbert Kindt.

A private graveside service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
