JANICE MARIE BELLMORE

Janice Marie “Jan” Bellmore, age 87, of Rogers City, passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Rogers City on April 28, 2025. She was born in Rogers City to Charles and Stella (Yarch) Montych on Aug. 11, 1937.
Jan graduated from Rogers City High School in 1955. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Robert Bellmore at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She worked at the Presque Isle Advance from 1955-1959. Jan was inducted into the Rogers City Bowling Hall of Fame and was an officer with the bowling association. She volunteered at Shelter Inc. and was an active member St. Ignatius Catholic Church, its choir, Rosary Society and its school. Jan will be remembered as the “funeral luncheon lady”.
She is survived by six children, Michael (Colleen Casey), Nancy (Henry III) Dietlin, Marti (Dave) Farmer, Jeanne (Steve) Eberspacher, Doug (Sandi Currey) and Meredeth; grandchildren, Brandon (Brooke) Bellmore, Chelsea (Dillon) Dastrup, Alex (Alyssa) Bellmore, Henry IV (Stephanie) Dietlin, Robert (Kayla) Dietlin, Renee (Zach) Raushi, Jason (Katie) Romel, Aaron (Sarah) Romel, Justin Bellmore, Jordan (Sarah) Bellmore and Michaela (Sam Ayers); great grandchildren Caden, Colton, Briar, Roman, Lucas, Ethan, Bryson, Briella, Robert II, Emmalyn, Kellen, Craig, Chase, Maylee, Paxlee, Brentlee, Makenna, Morgan and Alaina; and a sister, Judy Montych.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Stella; husband, Robert; infant son Robert Dale, siblings, Doris, Donald, Margaret, Charles Jr., Delphine and Michael.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of her Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.
Inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ignatius School in memory of Jan Bellmore.
