MARVIN RAY McLAREN

Marvin Ray McLaren, 88, of Lachine passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hillman’s Haven.
Marvin was born in Alpena on April 11, 1936, to the late Robert and Viola (Sharp) McLaren. On Dec. 28, 1957, he married Eleanor Cronk. She preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 2020. Marvin worked for the Operating Engineers Local 324 and retired as a business agent in 1992. He was an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Knight of Columbus, Habitat for Humanity, and served as Hillman Senior Citizens president.
Surviving are his four children, Robert (Lori) McLaren, Michael McLaren, Melanie (Roger) Garcia, Bernard (Lorri) McLaren; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Calvin McLaren, Larry (Sandy) McLaren; two sisters-in-law, Rachel McLaren, Yvonne Rondeau; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. McLaren was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael James McLaren; three brothers, Wayne McLaren, Dale McLaren, and Bernard McLaren.
Visitation will take place at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Siler officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
Interment: St. Augustine Cemetery
