RANDY LEE HOMPSTEAD

Randy Lee Hompstead, 66, of Alpena, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025, at his home.

Randy was born in Alpena on Sept. 11, 1958, to the late Harvey and Judy (Egelski) Hompstead. On June 29, 1996, he married Judy Mason. He loved fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Judy; three children, Jamie (Don) Clay, Stephanie Maida, Richard Schmidt; eight grandchildren, Kaydee (Jake) Smolinski, Kelly Clay, Kristy Clay, Kyle Clay, Eva May Maida, Elivia Maida, Evan Maida, Evalynn Maida; two great-grandchildren, Ely Lytle, Ellie Lytle; seven siblings, Renae (Randy) Dault, Rhonda Montie, Roxanne Hompstead, Lisa Halvorson, Robin (Irvin) Bredow, Jeff (Bernadette) Schuelke, Hugh Hompstead, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hompstead was preceded in death by a brother, David Schuelke.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A celebration of life will take place later this summer.
