WILLIAM JOSEPH PUVALOWSKI

William Joseph Puvalowski, 89, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home in Alpena surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Feb. 2, 1936, in Harbor Beach to the late Theodore and Agnes (Smalla) Puvalowski, he married Doreathia Bischer on July 26, 1958, in Harbor Beach, Michigan. He was a member of All Saints Parish, enjoyed gardening, cooking, and tending to his apple trees. He was a wonderful cook making every meal from scratch for many years.

Surviving are his wife Doreathia; five children, Julie (Randy) Dietrich, Robert (Julia Zhang) Puvalowski, David (Lori) Puvalowski, Michael (Heike Schaugg) Puvalowski, Jeffrey Puvalowski; 10 grandchildren, Heather (Arthur) Hallman, Aaron Dietrich, Adam (fiance Caroline Quandt) Dietrich, Tehmina (Jon) Johnson, Stephanie (Jacob) Brandt, Sabrina (Tylen) Patan, Hannah (fiance John St. Pierre) Puvalowski, William Puvalowski, Abbra Puvalowski, Stephen (Larissa) Schaugg; and eight great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Clor; infant sister, Cecilia and infant brother, Burton.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Aloysius Okpala officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
