Share your holiday stories with The News
Alpena city crews are fanning out around downtown Alpena, stringing streetlamps with holiday lights.
At Culligan Plaza in the center of downtown, a lift truck raises crewmembers to wrap the official city Christmas tree in lights, ready to be illuminated at the conclusion of the holiday parade on Black Friday.
Indeed, the spirit of the season is growing in Alpena.
Each year, The News joins the celebration by running a holiday-themed story on Page 1A every edition from Black Friday through Christmas Eve.
This year, we need you, dear readers, to help us celebrate.
The News wants readers to share their favorite holiday stories and photos to appear in that 1A slot. It could be a picture of your kiddos opening their presents on Christmas morn, a story of a favorite holiday memory, or even a favorite Christmas cookie recipe.
Send your stories and photos to newsroom@TheAlpenaNews.com and we’ll run them in The News during the holiday season.
