Bay View Park project keeping community active and connected

As news staff writer Steve Schulwitz reported on Friday, Bay View Park’s project is being prepped to start soon.

The project will offer plenty of amenities for everyone to enjoy, from outdoor sports to pavilion seating and more.

Once phase one is complete, there will be three tennis courts, five pickleball courts, and three basketball courts, all regulation size. Phase two will see the installation of a pavilion where people can gather for various events or event to just picnic in the park.

We hope that these improvements will inspire the community to get out there and get active.

Not only are the advancements to the park a great way to encourage people to get moving outdoors, but it’s also a chance for members in the community to get more involved with people who may have similar interests. For example, maybe some pickleball players will build their own league with others in the community. Connecting with others is a great way to strengthen the community, and the Bay View Park project could offer just that.

The construction of this project, and others, is one of the ways that officials and groups in the area are taking the initiative to better our area and neighborhoods. We’re glad to see others care about Northeast Michigan, like we do, and they want to see it thrive.

Whether it’s donating to the cause — or similar ones — or using the park once the project is complete, there are plenty of ways to show your support.

Everyone can benefit from the good things being done in the area and appreciate the possibilities that they can bring.

Be sure to check out Bay View Park once the project is complete. At the very least, it’s a great place to see Lake Huron from the shoreline.
