Stay tuned in and continue to support one another

We’re about one week post-ice storm, and Northeast Michigan and several other areas are still feeling the effects.

Some have been without power since last weekend, and there has not been a definite answer for them on when their power will return.

To them we’d like to say, hang in there and stay safe. We understand how difficult this time is, but we are a strong community that is looking out for one another, and we will all get through this. Utilize local efforts to help you get through, it’s what they’re there for.

A continuous thank-you goes out to everyone playing their part.

Thank you to the lineworkers and others who are working day in and day out to get power 100% restored in the area. They are making improvements as quickly as they can, and we appreciate them.

Thank you, first responders, for ensuring the safety of everyone and being on call when needed.

Thank you to the community for its continued efforts to help others. Shelters remain available, warm meals are being served, neighbors are helping with cleanup, and many others are doing what they can to assist during this time.

Together, we will get through this.

It’s inspiring to see the way people have stepped up. It’s encouraging to see the way people have been supporting each other and keeping each other informed.

Keep it up, Northeast Michigan. Stay tuned in and continue to help one another. We will get through this.
