Political concerns affect all Americans

Politics, a noun sourced from the Greek ‘affairs of the city,’ is the set of activities associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations among individuals, such as the distribution of status or resources. Politikos (Greek) means ‘Of the People.’

Therefore, political concerns affect us all. Whether you live in a rural environment (such as a hamlet, or city) or in a metropolis of millions, in the United States of America, governance starts with the voice of the people. Furthermore, America chose to be a democracy; a system of government in which state power is vested in the people or the general population of a state, often noted to mean ‘rule by the people.’ And in a deeper definition of America’s Democracy, it is a constitutional federal republic. “Constitutional” refers to the fact that government in the United States of America is rooted in a Constitution which is the supreme law of the United States.

Why am I defining politics and democracy? If you have been listening at all to the ‘current events’ of our country and the world; if you are truly a citizen of the good ole USA; I’m wondering, ‘where is the voice of the people?’ My neighbors, regardless of party, and all who live in and enjoy what our founding governing body established in 1776 so that we could have a voice today on how our tax dollars are spent and what that money can give us, ‘We the People,’ a life of liberty and justice for all. Now is the time, to stand up and stop the overreach by the richest men and corporations of America who will take what we fought and died for only to get richer and have ultimate power over us, ‘We the People!’
