Hillman beats Posen

The Hillman High School boys basketball team improved to 4-3 (2-0 in the the Little Dipper North Star League) after defeating Posen 52-40 on the road on Thursday.

Leading Hillman in scoring was senior guard Brenden Rouleau with 24 points and sophomore wing Ty Muszynski with 14 points and six boards.

Hillman’s Aedan Tucker and Cuyler Schultz also added five rebounds a piece.

“I thought we did a nice job tonight setting the tone early in the first quarter,” Hillman head coach Eric Muszynski said. “We had great ball movement in the first half and got a little sloppy in the second half, but it was a great road victory. Our bench was great tonight. We battled early foul trouble and I would like to compliment John Ruthko. He brought great energy tonight and played the back of our trap to the T.”

Hillman outscored Posen in every quarter except the fourth.

Hillman returns to action on Monday at home versus Johannesburg-Lewiston.
